SYRINGA x hyacinthiflora ‘Vesper Song’ – This group of hybrid lilacs is growing in popularity as people start to understand how problem free they are. They are a group of crosses of S. oblata and S. vulgaris made by several breeders. Characteristics include flower color, fragrance, hardiness mildew resistance and in some instances good reddish-purple fall color. ‘Vesper Song’ has a fragrant, single violet bloom.
