An upright to rounded tree, not resembling other Mountain Ash. The leaves are simple, lustrous, dark green, turning shades of yellow to gold and orange in fall. Abundant clusters of white flowers in spring turn into pinkish-red fruits in the fall. Makes an excellent specimen tree for lawn areas and is not susceptible to the problems of other mountain ashes.
