COTONEASTER x ‘Hessei’

A neat and tidy plant of mounded habit looking much like a dwarf C. apiculata. It is considered a hybrid between C. horizontalis and C. adpressus v. praecox. Pinkish red flowers in May turn into red 1?4 in. fruits in fall that are set against burgundy fall foliage. Useful as a ground cover, or bank cover, in masses or groupings.
