AESCULUS parviflora p. var. ‘Rogers’ – Rogers Bottlebrush Buckeye

The lax flowering panicles 18-30″ in length peak a month later than the species creating a bold statement in the landscape. It has a dense form with green foliage and tubular white flowers with red anthers and pinkish filaments. Prefers moist loams soil. After flowers  blossom, they give way to glossy inedible chestnuts. Foliage turns yellow during autumn.  Excellent as a specimen, for massing or in the shrub border. Native to Southeast US.
