Pruning should be kept to a minimum and if it must be done best to do pruning in the late fall. ‘Crimson Queen’ is noted for keeping its leaf color well into the growing season. The gorgeous red leaves give way to samaras which become ripe in late summer. Native to Japan, Korea, and China.
